Hichki hichki

I am just on my way home.  Want to scribble something.  I am not sure what exactly I am going to write now. But have titled this post well in advance as I have been getting Hichkis (Hiccups) for the past few hours. Ouch, again! This is getting horrible. Yes, you must have understood by now that I am going to blah just like I did here. Now I have a doubt that why do humans get hiccups? Does even animals get hichki? Okay, I will not bore you further. But, that is not a promise you see.

I am passing through Tivoli Cinema and my fingers swiftly tapping my dad’s phone. Kinda time management.  This man crossing the road is carrying a board sort of thing of Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara. Ahh, what a pleasant movie it was. And in my view there are huge wallpapers of Force and Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster. Oops, a hiccup! Going by the reviews and tweets, both the movies have received a tremendous response till now. Oh! Why is this Cinema closed? I wanted to check whether I can watch any movie tonight.

I know it is Telangana bandh, but am not aware that even Cinemas are closed. Pathetic! I don’t understand how come the government and even the Telugu film industry is acting dumb and is not taking any appropriate measure. This is the nth time that Hyderabad is observing Telangana bandh. Unfortunately we got used to it. There was no newspaper yesterday and holidays have begun weeks ago for Hyderabadis. All thanks to so called Telangana activists, who mostly are students.

I am just a lane away from home. As I enter, Aarya will ask me, ‘kya layi ho mere liye?’ A tiny toffee can make him happy. But I am lazy to stop anywhere. It was a tiring day! Oh, Aarya is standing at the balcony, jumping and smiling as he saw our car. I and dad are of course delighted with his acts.

Home, here I come. Ahh! What a relief. Mom is watching Saath Nibhana Saathiya! Rashi ben is tensed about the price tag of some designer wear. Okay, I am not interested to watch it further. Hiccup, phir se! I drank around 5-6 glasses of water in the past two hours. It didn’t work. Will drink some more now. Then I will post this.

  1. Ah.. you took me down a memory lane. I thought the Tivoli ciema had been demolished and turned nto a function palace. What about Lamba is it still there? I need to go there the next time I visit my parents.

    1. @Meera Yeah, the once horrible Tivoli Cinema has now been renovated into a multiplex. And Lamba, the landmark theater is still there. Thanks much for dropping by. :)
